HD Hyundai Infracore's construction equipment brand DEVELON will serve as the official sponsor of the 2024 Women's Korea Football League.

HD Hyundai Infracore announced today that it has signed a title sponsorship agreement with the Korea Women's Football Federation (KWFF) for the 2024 WK League (Women's Korea Football League). The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at the company's global business center (GBC) in Dong-gu, Incheon on March 12, 2024 (Tuesday). As part of the agreement, the official name of the league for the 2024 season will be changed to “DEVELON WK League 2024.”

Today's signing ceremony was attended by a distinguished group of guests including HD Hyundai Infracore CEO Young-cheul Cho, KWFF president Kyu-sang Oh, and other officials. Also present were Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels players Hye-ri Kim, Hwa-yeon Son, and Jung-mi Kim along with WJSN member Dayoung.

As the title sponsor, HD Hyundai Infracore will be at the forefront of promoting women's football throughout the league through various outdoor advertisements and promotions.

HD Hyundai Infracore CEO Young-cheul Cho voiced his concern over the Korean women's football league's lack of recognition despite the growing worldwide popularity of the sport. He vowed to contribute to the league's growth. "I will work towards strengthening the league's competitiveness, which in turn will promote the development of Korean women's football as a whole,” he said.

Global accounting firm Deloitte forecasts that the global women's sports market will reach an all-time high of USD 1.28 billion (approximately KRW 1.7 trillion) in 2024 with women's soccer accounting for 43% of revenue, highlighting the growing market.

In a move to boost the popularity of the 2024 DEVELON WK League, the KWFF today named WJSN member Dayoung as the league's official promotional ambassador for the upcoming season in recognition of her diverse contributions to football including appearances on football variety shows and ceremonial kick-off at Ulsan Hyundai Home matches. She is also committed to promoting the growth of the women's football league.

Meanwhile, the “DEVELON WK League 2024” will be participated in by a total of eight teams with the opening match scheduled for the 16th of this month, running until November with each team playing a total of 28 rounds.
