▶ Showcasing a future construction site powered by autonomous technology in the exhibition hall
▶ Booth size doubled, offering 3,000 km remote control and hands-on experience with futuristic equipment
▶ Pioneering digital transformation to redefine the global market landscape confidently
▶ “Dedicated to technological innovations to build sustainable infrastructure that will meet the needs of humanity for generations to come.”

HD Hyundai showcased its groundbreaking technological advancements in future infrastructure construction transcending time and space limitations at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, USA.

HD Hyundai is set to make an appearance at CES 2024, a four-day event kicking off on January 9, 2024 (local time). Located in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, HD Hyundai's exhibition booth has nearly doubled in size from last year’s 595 m2 to 992 m2.

HD Hyundai has chosen "Xite Transformation" as the key theme for its upcoming exhibition. Xite Transformation is a land-based innovation vision for solving humanity's challenges including safety and security, building supply chains, and climate change. To showcase its potential, the exhibit features a blueprint of a future construction site powered by autonomous technologies.

The exhibition showcases the future of construction with three themed zones: Future Xite, Twin Xite, and Zero Xite. Visitors can engage in hands-on experiences including watching a live demonstration of an expert remotely controlling a wheel loader in Atlanta 3,000 kilometers away. They can also get behind the wheel of a wheel loader simulator and immerse themselves in a virtual twin construction site using virtual reality (VR) technology.

Visitors are greeted by a massive 18-meter wide, 4.5-meter tall LED screen displaying a fully autonomous construction site powered by cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. The intelligent system seamlessly analyzes on-site data to devise the most efficient work plans, optimize equipment use, and maintain the highest safety standards.

Just beyond this impressive display, a 4.5-meter-tall autonomous excavator stands ready to greet visitors. This unmanned excavator without a driver's seat—equipped with cutting-edge wide-angle radar sensors and smart around-view monitoring system—perceives their surroundings and operates safely without human intervention. Equipped with four independent wheels, this cutting-edge excavator can effortlessly conquer even the steepest hills and isolate workers from hazardous areas; thus prioritizing their safety.

HD Hyundai is seeking opportunities in emerging future technologies such as unmanned autonomous driving technology, aiming to become a top-tier player in the global market.

HD Hyundai has established itself as a leader in construction technology, showcasing groundbreaking advancements in recent years. In 2018, the company unveiled the world's first cross-border construction machinery using 5G remote control technology. Its innovative spirit continued to shine in 2019 with the successful demonstration of "Concept-X," a comprehensive control solution that automates all construction site tasks from terrain surveying to construction machinery operation.

According to HD Hyundai officials, they are showcasing a variety of smart construction solutions for future construction sites at CES 2024. They added that HD Hyundai will continue to lead the way in technological innovation for sustainable infrastructure development.

HD Hyundai vice chairman Chung Ki-sun will be the sole representative from a Korean company to give a keynote address at CES 2024, scheduled for 9 a.m. local time on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. <End>
